The University of Geneva (UNIGE), founded in 1559 has 17 faculties, institutes and research centres. The Institute of Environmental Sciences (ISE) at the University of Geneva is an inter-faculty centre involving about 50 staff from the Faculty of Sciences, the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences and the Faculty of Medicine. The Institute coordinates a Masters Degree in Environmental Sciences (120 ECTS credits) and staff are involved in interdisciplinary research programmes on thematics including climate change, energy production and consumption, environmental health, water management and urbanisation.
